1/72 scale Academy P-47D

A simple kit, and the second I finished in Sprayed Humbrol MetalCote. A black wash over it and a rag wet with acrylic thinner to wipe away the excess gives it this look. The decals were fiddly, and had to be cut to fit in the panel lines. The gear doors had to be modified to be squeezed into the the "in-flight" position. The spinning prop was achieved with a circular piece of clear plastic binder cover.
